When an asteroid wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago, the animals that survived were small mammals: hardy, resilient, and adaptable. Where giant, lumbering creatures could no longer survive, those quick and versatile mammals thrived. Sespia, a cat-sized pig-like creature that lived in California, was one of those creatures that flourished.

Sespia was built by accident. Our founder, Alli Reed, was a bored chemist who started formulating her own skincare and ended up launching a small business in 2016 to sell her formulas out of her apartment. That company took off, and as it grew, she grew her manufacturing capacity with it: from lab equipment, to commercial kitchen equipment, until finally she had built out a custom skincare manufacturing facility.
That company that started out of her kitchen in 2016 is now a successful multi-million dollar brand, and one that does absolutely everything in house: from formulation, to manufacturing, to storage, to fulfillment. We’ve had 9 years to perfect every aspect of building skincare operations in-house.
Sespia takes advantage of that equipment, expertise, and hard-won lessons, and offers it to small beauty brands looking for a simpler solution for their operations. What we did for our own brand, we’ll do for yours.
